Football playoff possibilities following Week 6

The TSSAA released their playoff predictions after Week 6 of the regular season. These are put out by the TSSAA, and not something that we at The Jackson Sun came up with. We understand that these predictions do not always include the fact that the top 2 finishers in each district are guaranteed a playoff spot. But here is what we have:

1A

Quad 3

No. 1 Huntingdon would get a bye
No. 2 Clarksville Academy would get a bye
No. 3 Jo Byrns would host No. 6 Columbia Academy
No. 4 Collinwood would host No. 5 Nashville Christian

Very little changed with this quad, just a little shuffling.

Quad 4

No. 1 West Carroll would get a bye
No. 2 Union City would get a bye
No. 3 Lake County would host No. 6 Gleason
No. 4 South Fulton would host No. 5 Halls

This quad also had little change, just some movement in the No. 4 through No. 6 seeds.

2A

Quad 3

No. 1 Adamsville would get a bye
No. 2 Loretto would get a bye
No. 3 Houston County would host No. 6 Forrest
No. 4 Mt. Pleasant would host White House-Heritage

Adamsville moved from Quad 4 as a No. 3 to Quad 3 as a No. 1. Scotts Hill fell out of the playoffs.

Quad 4

No. 1 Dresden would get a bye
No. 2 Westwood would get a bye
No. 3 Humboldt would host No. 6 McKenzie
No. 4 Trenton Peabody would host No. 5 Middleton

With Adamsville in Quad 3, Humboldt moved up to a No. 3 and Peabody jumped to a No. 4. McKenzie is in the playoffs for the first time this season.

No. 1 South Gibson would host No. 8 Waverly
No. 2 Milan would host No. 7 Westview
No. 3 Camden would host No. 6 Manassas
No. 4 JCM would host No. 5 Lewis County

JCM moved from a No. 8 to a No. 4, which means the Cougars would host in the opening round. Camden also jumped four spots to No. 3.

No. 1 Dyersburg would host No. 8 Obion County
No. 2 Lexington would host No. 7 Haywood

Dyersburg moves from a No. 4 seed in in Quad 4 to a No. 1 in Quad 3. Crockett County took a fall to a No. 3 seed. Lexington moved up two seeds to a No. 2 seed.

Quad 4

No. 1 Covington would host No. 8 Raleigh Egypt
No. 2 Mitchell would host No. 7 Hillcrest
No. 3 Fairley would host No. 6 Ripley
